Non-Profit Opportunities

Not only does The Bizarre Bazaar® create a distinctive shopping experience, it also provides an opportunity for many non-profit organizations and charities to raise funds for their respective causes.  At last year’s show, the participating non-profit organizations reported total earnings of over $75,000 by either having a booth at the show or helping to staff the show.

Since 1990, the opening night of The Christmas Collection has benefited a local non-profit organization.  This catered preview gala has become a popular Christmas shopping tradition.  For the past 6 years, this preview gala has benefited VCU’s Massey Cancer Center and in 2008 netted over $50,000 for the organization.

The 7th Annual ”Shopping Spree” benefiting VCU Massey Cancer Center will be held on Wednesday night December 2nd, 2009.  This event offers a preview for Merry Massey and Happy Holly shoppers with a wine and cheese reception and a fantastic raffle of high-end items.  The raffle drawing takes place the last day of the show and you do not have to be present to win.  Preview party tickets range from $30 to $75 in advance and are also available at the door the night of the event.  Join the fun and holiday spirit while supporting the fight against cancer!

For over 10 years The Bizarre Bazaar®’s Spring Market show has sponsored an annual Fancy Hat Tea Party and Fashion Show to benefit The Hospital Hospitality House of Richmond where much needed funds are raised to provide free lodging and emotional support to patients and their families while receiving care in area hospitals.

It is The Bizarre Bazaar®’s hope that each year we are able to provide a unique opportunity for non-profit organizations around the Richmond area to raise much needed funds for all of their many worthy causes.
